HIV Testing/Adherence

The Resistance

The problem being addressed is that HIV is constantly looking for ways to overcome the antiviral medication. Patients with HIV often may skip one or two doses of their medication for various reasons, but the HIV protease will mutate and become resistant to that class of medication. As there are only six classes of HIV medication, skipping a dose on a class greatly limits their options. This video is here to educate people that their adherence to medication greatly affects the potential for drug resistance.
